Andrea Goldman

Andrea Goldman trained as an English language teacher in Dublin, Ireland and Spa, Belgium.  She also has a degree in economics from UCD and a Higher Diploma in Education from Trinity College Dublin. She started her teaching career in Athens, Greece in 1988 and has been teaching English and business English since then.

As a teacher trainer, Andrea is also qualified to deliver the Department of Education and ACELs accredited CELT and Preliminary Certificate in Language Teaching.

Andrea regularly writes and blogs on education, business and current affairs. Her main career interest is in the need to constantly evaluate teaching and learning styles and methods, particularly in the fast changing business and tech world.

In recent years she has also paid special attention to pronunciation and the use of the International Phonetic Alphabet.  However, after all the changes and innovation, Andrea believes that the mutual respect and cooperation of an affective learning environment still lies at the heart of teaching and learning. In 2014 she established Teacher Perfect Ireland offering a range of In-house, In-Company and Online Educational services.

In 2016, Andrea worked alongside Janie Lazar in Dublin where they piloted an integrated integrated approach to Professional Development designed specifically to identify the needs of international professionals with a focus on boosting both language competency and core communication to include public speaking and presentation skills.

You can be the most knowledgeable person in your area of expertise and a fluent English speaker, but if you don't have the confidence to use the language efficiently or effectively, opportunities can be so easily lost.
